Have an Axe Throwing adventure at American Paintball Coliseum in Aurora

Axe throwing is a timed activity priced per person.

When you and your group arrive we will begin group check-in once everyone is present. At this time our service staff will help participants with filling out waivers and answering any questions you may have about the experience. Once everyone is ready our lane supervisor will lead the group to our outdoor axe throwing lanes.

The axe throwing lanes in Denver are outdoors. Through the summer months our outdoor patio area is covered in sun shades to help players cool off. In the winter heaters are present to heat the outdoors, weather permitting of course.

Our lane expert will review a safety orientation to all thrower and also teach basic technique on how to throw an axe to get it to sick into the board. Each axe throwing lane has a target marked on wooden boards that offer a scoring system. A bullseye is marked in red with smaller dots marked in blue for extra points.

After basic instruction let the games begin! Each lane has QR code that allows you to explore different games with each other. There is also a way to keep score for while you are playing. Our lane supervisor will visit with your group periodically to ensure everyone is "getting the stick" as we like to call it. The event finishes once time expires or the group is finished playing. Most groups can last up to two hours.

Our axe throwing lanes in Denver offer a snack bar that contains snacks, candy and non-alcoholic beverages.

You are welcome to bring your own food and accommodations at no additional charge.

Our snack bar is within the building and can be accessed at anytime during your experience.

Free waters are available upon request to your lane supervisor.

From Denver and the surrounding areas, travel towards E-470 or Quincy Avenue. Then head east on Quincy Avenue past Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. Look for a large satellite dish and tower. Take a left in the parking lot.

Parking is easily accessible and your event will begin at the entrance.

Axe throwing at American Paintball Coliseum Aurora is an outdoor activity. Participants are encouraged, but not limited to bring these items:

• Weather appropriate clothing
• Close-toed shoes
• Water bottle
• Cell phone for pictures and videos

Is it safe?
Throwing axes with the instruction from our lane supervisor is a safe activity. Waivers are required from each thrower. We have never had a major injury or accident.

What is the youngest that can throw?
We recommend axe throwing for ages 10 and older. Younger throwers can still participate with lane manager approval.

What are the rules?
Every group will receive an orientation and instruction on how to throw axes. The rules of the range will be explained and posted at the time of the event. For other questions, we welcome you to contact us.

How many people can use one lane?
A total of 6 throwers is permitted per lane.

Can we bring our own axes?
You are welcome to bring your own ax. Our lane supervisor will inspect your equipment and, if it meets our standards, you will be approved to use it.

Are reservations required?
We ask that reservations are placed in advance to guarantee lane space for your event. We do our best to take walk-in throwers for leftover availability. When you are ready, you can book here.

We are open 7 days a week for players to throw axes during our normal business hours.

In winter months, we shorten our open times to account for the sun setting earlier.

We have availability for most times and encourage reservations to be placed for the best possible service.
